Modifying Online Instruction for Students with Disabilities

A rhetorical approach to instruction delivered entirely online that I have found to be successful with undergrad and graduate students in Modifying Online Instruction for Students with Disabilities is having students view streaming video using Windows Media Player or Apple QuickTime. Students are then asked to critically examine video using questions to formulate a summary as part of their analysis. Students then post summaries to discussion forum for peer feedback and response. Student Reflection on this and other assignments is a cornerstone learning activity.
